Reality gets wonderfully unreliable here. Xenses Park by Xcaret turns a half-day outing into a playful test of sight, balance, touch, sound, and courage. I like the clever optical illusions, especially Way of Dwarfs and Giants, and I like how the park mixes oddball rooms with muddy, splashy water activities. The main drawback is that some sections are physically demanding, dark, steep, or enclosed.
At $82.04 per person, the admission is not cheap, but the five to six hours of activities make it more useful than a quick photo stop. I also appreciate the free parking, lockers, showers, Wi-Fi, and changing facilities. Bring patience, a waterproof camera setup, and a willingness to look ridiculous. That is part of the fun.
